ICE Emergency Contacts

Emergency ContactsIn a medical emergency, the services look to your phone as the first point of information.

It’s virtually impossible to unlock a smartphone to identify who you are so it is important to get your phone to provide relevant information quickly and easily without unlocking the phone.

Your locked smartphone can still show both your ICE contacts and your medical information, if set up correctly.

On the lock screen on the Android phone, swipe up to display the unlock screen and tap on EMERGENCY CALL

Ice Contacts will be displayed along the top.

Emergency Medical Info is at the bottom.

If no-one speaks to you when you receive a call, then you could just end the call. The topic under discussion here is setting up ICE contacts. ICE (In Case of Emergency) is a term used for setting up certain contacts. These are people in your address book with recognisable names and surnames and none of them are named with the name “ICE”. If you received a call and your phone indicated the name of the person as “ICE” then you would have a contact called ICE. Please edit that contact with a real name or delete the contact called ICE.

Martin did a great job – replacing old equipment and organising  computers/ phones/internet/WIFI . Everything was explained clearly. It was impressive – and at a very reasonable cost. I am so pleased …More that he was happy to come to London to help us and I would recommend him highly.
