What did we do?

Old desktop had been working at a snail’s pace and, although connected to the server, had stopped receiving emails. (I had bought this some years ago without the benefit of Martin’s advice). Martin advised on a selection of laptops which would suit my needs. Once I had chosen, Martin arranged purchase of the laptop and set it up ready for use. He delivered it to my house and transferred all data from the desktop, checked all was running smoothly with email accounts and connections to router and printer, set up Outlook with gSyncIT so that I could use the screen from the old desktop as well as the new laptop screen and provided a HDMI cable to link the two. I had been slightly doubtful about how often I would use this but had used both screens together within 24hrs. Looking forward to a future of trouble free and much quicker computing. Thanks, Martin.

What did we do?
I had somehow managed to disconnect Outlook from my email accounts, which meant I could only access emails by logging onto my Virgin account through the internet. Martin restored the connection so that emails now arrive automatically on my computer again. I am considering buying a new laptop and he has given helpfully suggested a few that I might consider which should meet my needs.

What did we do?
As I am familiar with its layout and use, I was still using Windows livemail, which hasn’t been supported since 2016. To avoid potential problems of using and unsupported email, Martin installed and set up Windows 10 Mail as default, disabling Windows livemail, so it no longer registers new mail but is retained on the computer so old emails can be referenced if required.
Microsoft Office suite was also installed to replace a Student version which was becoming outdated.
It has been a big relief to have this done as, even if I had managed to do this myself unaided, I would have found it imensely stressful and time consuming.

I’m very pleased to recommend Martin Vines re. anything to do with computers/laptops etc. When my laptop became utterly inaccessible to me Martin diagnosed the problem, found the way in, fixed everything, and not only that, made everything much, much better as well. You know what it’s like when your computer goes terribly wrong, how awful and sick you feel when you realise the consequences? Martin was the perfect person to call, he was calm, efficient and quick. Martin did a great job – replacing old equipment and organising computers/ phones/internet/WIFI . Everything was explained clearly. It was impressive – and at a very reasonable cost. I am so pleased that he was happy to come to London to help us and I would recommend him highly.
